Are you so consumed, with they way they lock step to each and every move, that you make? You’ve Promised them their place, beside you at this house of broken cards, you have built. But now you seem so lost, confused you can’t keep the moves you’ve made in line, here in the end. So admit you’ve lost it all. They’ve realized you have nothing left to say, yet you speak. It’s easy to see how you still fall apart, when you drag them all down to the fire. But you won’t be the death of me now, you intentional liar. It’s easy to see how you still fall apart, when you drag them all down to the fire. But you won’t be the death of me now, you intentional liar. It’s easy to see how you still fall apart, how you still fall apart.

Great Escape 04:25
Hold your tongue before the curtains come down. Turn away, from the land you’ve forged, and poison slowly. I’ve come so far, breathing life though the worst of your decay and delusions. i won’t save you again, cause I’ve seen your reign, fall apart with your old ways and burn me out for the last time. I’ll make it out for the first time. Have you called once more just to lie to yourself? Cast aside from the ones you’ve torched to move on towards me. I’ve come so far. breathing life though the worst of your decay and delusions, i won’t save you again. Cause I’ve seen your reign, fall apart with your old ways and burn me out for the last time. I’ll make it out for the first time. You’re overwhelming, but you’re not my ending. I’ve come so far. breathing life though the worst of your decay and delusions, i won’t save you again. Cause I’ve seen your reign, fall apart with your old ways and burn me out for the last time. I’ll make it out for the first time. You’re overwhelming, but I’ll escape you now

So you’ve changed yourself, call me unamused, It’s not like you to hold on to anything new. It seems your skeletons are hidden just behind broken closet doors that have no room inside. Can you hold your pose, when all eyes are on you? Make it over, hide your blemishes away. Show that fake smile, grit your teeth and perform. So you’ve lost it all, have you had enough? I wish that I could say I never saw this play out. Now you’re holding out in spite of what you’ve done, is it your stubbornness that seems to guide you along? Make it over, hide your blemishes away. Show that fake smile, grit your teeth and perform. Stand before me with your face on one last time. Chameleon, you’re just fooling yourself. You won’t take over me again, or make me believe your grin. I see your disease, now you can’t camouflage. You’re Falling apart when you're out in the sun. You won’t take over me again, or make me believe your grin. You still act pristine, but I can see you for miles and a silent alarm rings aloud when you call. You won’t take over me again, or make me believe your grin.
4.
Watch their bonds waiver suddenly and without warning as you stand on still in spite of; and severe ties for the last time. Is this overdue? I can see all the words hide your broken bones away, far below until it’s over and the worst of this is gone. Time to mend your home, and fill it in again. What are you waiting for? You can let go, keeping sticks at a stones throw before you forget. I can see all the words hide your broken bones away, far below until it’s over and the worst of this is gone.
5.
So you think I’m your worst enemy, that’s alright by me. Taking shots while you’re blind and alone still won’t break my skin. There’s a line in the sand you can’t see so careful where you crawl. If your storm comes around me again, I’ll let it wash you away. How your clouds consume the sky and fill it with grey. Casting doubt where the bottle drops you break the surface. I’m stealing my life from the clutches you used to hold with these rusted restraints. I’ll burn all your ties from a place you once called your home. Are you satisfied alone? Now you’re out in the light and exposed, who will fall for you? Disinfected and harmless again as you crumble. Pack your bags with your fake concern you never listened. Cast your doubt somewhere else this time, and take it with you. I’m stealing my life from the clutches you used to hold with these rusted restraints. I’ll burn all your ties from a place you once called your home. Are you satisfied? Take away your ugly spirit enemy it’s not a game. These overrated conversations never seem to resolve. Consider this my resignation to your scene and your fraud. Cause I know you’re a just leach so here’s my turning point from your call. I’m stealing my life from the clutches you used to hold with these rusted restraints. I’ll burn all your ties from a place you once called your home. Are you satisfied?

about

Becoming The Lion Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Starting in 2010 with one man's dream, an experiment with heavy riffs and rhythmic melodies came to be. Now Becoming The Lion is taking those original melodic instrumentals and finally add vocals to fill this project out. Taking influence from progressive metal and post-hardcore bands like Deftones, Thrice and Oceansize, Becoming The Lion adds a unique twist to this crowed style. ... more
